I read this article today and I have to say I love the process they use for hiring. The one company that stands out in my ind when it came to interviewing had a similar approach. Our team, which was development, IT Support and Customer Support worked together and the team dynamics was very important to our culture. So each candidate was brought in and we all sat in a room and just talked about technology, life and even who the best baseball team is ( NY Mets! ).
By the time they arrived at this stage, their technical abilities had already been vetted. Some companies still seem to miss the step in the hiring process to ensure that the candidate you are bringing in will not disrupt the team, unless that is your end game. If that is your end game, be ready for the whiplash as I have watched a team fall apart very quickly.
